Dr. Catherine Lefebvre holds a PhD in molecular physics and theoretical quantum chemistry from Université Paris-Sud and Université Laval. She pursued research as postdoctoral fellow and research associate for 9 years, at the Université de Sherbrooke, the Canadian Space Agency and the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique. Her field of research is in ultrafast laser-matter interaction, studying the real-time nuclear and electron dynamics in small molecules. Over the past years, Catherine has been a scientific liaison officer in artificial intelligence, bridging between academia and industry and leading strategic academic relations for the National Bank of Canada and then for ElementAI. More recently, she was scientific advisor for the Quebec Government in quantum technology. Catherine currently works as an Innovation Ambassador at M Squared Laser, a laser and quantum technology company headquartered in Scotland, where she leads research and innovation partnerships in the US and Canadian quantum ecosystem.
