QuSecure teams with DataBridge Sites for PQC data center deployment

By Dan O'Shea posted 17 Jun 2022

QuSecure, which last month launched as one of the newest entries in the race to provide post-quantum cryptography solutions (PQC), this week announced a partnership with DataBridge Sites, a data center provider, to put QuSecure’s QuProtect Quantum-as-a-Service (QaaS) orchestration platform into a data center in Maryland.

As a result of the partnership, QuProtect is believed to be the first PQC solution available live as a service in a data center environment. DataBridge is providing a proof point and showcase for QuSecure’s technology, while also taking the first step in providing a production-level environment in a datacenter for both commercial and government entities. QuProtect’s deployment at DataBridge now enables organizations to start testing and becoming familiar with PQC while getting ready for federal compliance, the companies said.

“Our team is very excited to now be home to the QuSecure environment, which is the first PQC software that is currently live in a data center,” said Mike Lozupone, DataBridge Sites director of business development. “Our company sees the quantum computing industry as a rapid growth area that can be used widespread through the commercial and federal marketplace. QuSecure’s unique offering will add to our ecosystem of service providers for clients to utilize.”

Skip Sanzeri, QuSecure Founder and COO, last month told IQT News that the recent memos from the Biden White House urging government agencies to act against quantum threats, as well as recognition of the issue in Congress, was building a sense of urgency toward PQC adoption.

This week he stated, “The quantum threat, or Q-Day, is coming at us rapidly, and in May the White House published two initiatives to actively build U.S. quantum computing and post-quantum cybersecurity programs. Our partnership with DataBridge is another big step along the way to National Security in line with the White House memos.”

Enterprises, partners, government agencies, organizations and other interested parties are able to get a tour of the PQC showcase at the Databridge facility in Maryland, where they will see PQC actively working, the companies said, adding that QuSecure can be contacted at https://www.qusecure.com/contact-us/, and DataBridge at https://databridgesites.com/contact/.
