For those traveling to this year’s Q2B conference in early December, one thing to look forward to is VC fund Qubits Ventures’ first-ever pitch competition focused on quantum computing start-up companies entering this technological ecosystem. “There is a big gap in the funding space for specialized funding,” Nardo Manaloto, the founder and managing partner of Qubits Ventures, told Inside Quantum Technology.

This competition represents a golden opportunity for early-stage startups to showcase their innovations, secure funding, and gain invaluable visibility.

Strategic Venue Selection:

The choice of the Q2B Silicon Valley venue for the pitch competition is strategic. It is one of the longest-running conferences in the field, consistently attracting key players in the quantum domain and emerging startups poised for growth. This ensures participants will have the opportunity to connect with influential individuals and organizations in the industry. The competition will be held on December 6th at the conference.

Prospective participants must submit their applications online until November 15, 2023. The selection criteria will focus on the startups’ propositions’ uniqueness, feasibility, financial viability, and market desirability. Seven finalists will then be chosen to pitch their value propositions live at the Q2B Silicon Valley event. Eligibility is open to any startup focusing on quantum solutions that have raised less than $5M in funding or are in the pre-seed or seed funding stages. In addition to competing for the financial prize, finalists will gain extensive exposure to a diverse audience, including media professionals, venture capital funds, and industry analysts.

Being at the Q2B conference allows all applicants to be surrounded by the top voices and leaders within the quantum ecosystem, encouraging further collaborations, partnerships, and networking during this time.

Qubits Ventures: Accelerating Quantum’s Impact:

Qubits Ventures stands out as a pre-seed/seed venture fund with a clear mission: to accelerate the impact of quantum technology on society. The company brings together a formidable team of advisors, venture partners, and quantum experts, all united by their belief in the transformative potential of quantum technology. Its investment focuses on scalable technology startups that leverage quantum technologies to address complex problems and contribute positively to society. “I want to surround these companies with the right kind of ecosystem and people to make the connections to get them to grow to get them to scale,” Manaloto added.
