(IQT-NYC) Claudia Linnhoff-Popien, Professor for Mobile and Distributed Systems at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Member of the National Quantum Council, Germany; has agreed to speak on Panel 2: “How can national programs boost post-Corona quantum innovation?” at IQT-NYC Online.
Prof. Dr. Claudia Linnhoff-Popien is full professor for Mobile and Distributed Systems at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Institute for Informatics.
She finished her Ph.D. thesis at the Technical University Aachen, Unit for Communication Systems in 1994 and gave different lectures at the University GH Essen, 1995-97. In 1997 she was a research visitor at the Applied Research Institute of the Washington University of St. Louis, Missouri, USA. In 1998, she finished her habilitation at the Technical University Aachen and got an associate professorship at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. Since 2003 she is full professor there.
She is author/editor of 13 books and has published furthermore about 70 journal articles, book chapters and conference papers. She is a member of more than 50 programme committees of international workshops and conferences organized by IFIP, ACM, IEEE, German Society of Computer Science and other organizations. Furthermore, she is reviewer for several German scientific institutions. Her research interests include the following topics: distributed systems and ubiquitous computing, mobility, service discovery and context awareness. In these areas she works on several research projects supported by industry and government.
