Dr. Keeper Sharkey, Founder & CEO @ ODE, L3C, awarded the 40 under 40 in Cybersecurity
Dr. Keeper Sharkey, the founder and CEO of ODE, L3C, was recently highlighted in the 40 Under 40 in Cybersecurity special edition of Top Cyber News Magazine. The special edition spotlights remarkable cybersecurity and digital industry professionals. Dr. Sharkey’s research involves theorizing using “Quantum Chemistry for Detecting Cyber Security Threats on Information Systems,” which is also the name of the paper that led to Dr. Sharkey’s designation as a panelist at the Department of the Air Force Information Technology Conference (DAFITC) in August of 2022. Dr. Sharkey also is the co-chair of the IEEE’s Quantum/Cybersecurity department.
Dr. Sharkey stated: “When I joined the Quantum Security Alliance in 2019 as a volunteer, I was super excited to apply my knowledge as a quantum chemist to cybersecurity as the Chair of Quantum Applied Chemistry. Cybersecurity became a new industry vertical for me to study in my spare time, and even after some delays in progress due to COVID-19, I picked up the pace in 2021 which lead to me joining the IEEE as a co-Chair of Quantum/Cybersecurity. We wrote the white paper Cybersecurity for Next-Generation Connectivity Systems–Rethinking Digital Architectures to Safeguard the Next Generation From Cybersecurity Breaches. After all of this, it was such a surprise to have this kind of recognition and be listed as one of the 40 under 40 in cybersecurity by Top Cyber News Magazine by Capitol Tech University, a premier school for cyber.”
The 40 under 40 is an excellent way to showcase who the experts are in cybersecurity and where they think the industry is headed.
