Jeff Salvail, Quantum and Emerging S&T Policy, R&D Science Policy Integration, Policy Analyst “National Strategy and Federal Initiatives” will speak at IQT Canada 2023.
Jeffrey is a policy analyst at Defence Research and Development Canada. He is the lead analyst on quantum science and technology policy at the Directorate for Science Policy Integration and was the lead author of Quantum 2030: the DND/CAF Quantum S&T Strategy Implementation Plan. Jeffrey holds a MSc in physics from Simon Fraser University, and subsequently studied physics and quantum information at the Institute for Quantum Computing in Waterloo. His research interests included quantum optics, quantum memory, and quantum entanglement generation and detection. Following a cross-country tour doing science communication and outreach with Canada150 in 2017, Jeffrey attained a Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) from Carleton University.

IQT Canada 2023 is the tenth global conference and exhibition in the highly successful Inside Quantum Technology series.
This event is Canada’s Quantum Computing Event, focusing on Ecosystems for Quantum Readiness. A number of vertical topics encompassing more than 30 panels and talks from over 80 speakers will provide attendees with a deep understanding on state-of-the-art developments of the future quantum ecosystems as well as the current impact of quantum computing technologies.
The conference brings together corporate management, entrepreneurs, end users, technology providers, infrastructure partners, researchers and investors who are working on the current future developments of the quantum ecosystem. IQT Canada is organized by 3DR Holdings, IQT Research, INTRIQ, and the Governments of both Canada and Quebec. The June conference will be an “in-person” event to ensure maximum networking and discussion and will take place at Centre Mont-Royal in Montréal (Québec), Canada.
