Johanna Sepúlveda, the Senior Expert on Quantum Secured Communicationsat Airbus, is poised to share her insights at the upcoming IQT conference in The Hague in 2024. With an impressive academic background, including M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering – Microelectronics from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, Sepúlveda has established herself as a leading figure in the realms of security and emerging technologies.
Her journey in the field began as a Senior Researcher, where she delved into security and emerging technologies at esteemed institutions such as the University of South Brittany and INRIA in France and the Technical University of Munich in Germany. Today, Sepúlveda stands at the forefront of quantum technology as the Airbus Expert on Quantum-Secure Technologies. In this role, she is deeply involved in pioneering European quantum initiatives, notably the European Quantum Communication Infrastructure (EuroQCI).
Additionally, Sepúlveda contributes her expertise as a member of the Strategic Advisory Board of Quantum Technologies for the European Commission. Her leadership extends to her role in guiding the Strategic Industry Roadmap at the Quantum Industry Consortium (QuIC), reflecting her deep commitment to shaping the future of quantum technologies in the industry.
With over 15 years of experience in research and technology (R&T) and research and development (R&D) in security, networked systems, high-performance computing (HPC), and quantum technologies, Sepúlveda brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. Her work in these areas is groundbreaking and crucial in steering the global discourse on quantum security and the implementation of quantum technologies in various sectors. She implements these skills at Airbus, being in a leadership role as Chief Engineer.
