Julie Lefebvre Director General of the Security and Disruptive Technologies, Advanced Electronics & Photonics, & Nanotechnologies Research Centers, National Research Council of Canada (NRC) will speak at IQT Canada 2023

Julie Lefebvre, Director General of the Security and Disruptive Technologies, Advanced Electronics and Photonics, and Nanotechnologies Research Centers, National Research Council of Canada (NRC); will speak on “Technology Trends in Quantum Sensing” at IQT Canada 2023.
Dr. Julie Lefebvre is the Director General of the Security and Disruptive Technologies, Advanced Electronics and Photonics, and Nanotechnologies Research Centers at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC). She provides leadership in the quantum, material sciences, photonics and nanotechnologies in support of NRC’s strategic goals to promote the advancement of knowledge and collaboration with stakeholders across the innovation landscape. Prior to joining the NRC in 2019, she worked for 20 years at Defense Research and Development Canada (DRDC), both as a researcher and as a science manager. In 2014, she was appointed Director General of the Science and Technology Joint Force Development and led several programs in the fields of cyber operations, intelligence, space operations and sensing technologies. Dr. Lefebvre has a PhD in Theoretical Physics from McMaster University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Washington State University.

This event is Canada’s Quantum Computing Event, focusing on Ecosystems for Quantum Readiness. A number of vertical topics encompassing more than 30 panels and talks from over 80 speakers will provide attendees with a deep understanding on state-of-the-art developments of the future quantum ecosystems as well as the current impact of quantum computing technologies.
The conference brings together corporate management, entrepreneurs, end users, technology providers, infrastructure partners, researchers and investors who are working on the current future developments of the quantum ecosystem. IQT Canada is organized by 3DR Holdings, IQT Research, INTRIQ, and the Governments of both Canada and Quebec. The June conference will be an “in-person” event to ensure maximum networking and discussion and will take place at Centre Mont-Royal in Montréal (Québec), Canada.

Sandra K. Helsel, Ph.D. has been researching and reporting on frontier technologies since 1990.  She has her Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.
