Kanav Setia, Co-founder and CEO, qBraid; will speak on “Materials and Processing Challenges for Quantum Systems Manufacturing” at IQT Canada 2023.
Dr. Kanav Setia is a co-founder and CEO of qBraid, a quantum computing startup. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Dartmouth College in 2020. His research focuses on developing quantum algorithms for simulating fermionic systems. His paper on generalized superfast encoding (GSE) proved the presence of quantum error correcting properties in fermionic encodings. During his Ph.D., he interned at IBM, twice working with quantum algorithms group as well as their quantum software group. Prior to his PhD, he was working with at Semi-Conductor Laboratory in Microelectromechanical system (MEMS) development division where he worked on MEMS based accelerometers and gyroscopes. He holds a bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST).

IQT Canada 2023 is the tenth global conference and exhibition in the highly successful Inside Quantum Technology series.
This event is Canada’s Quantum Computing Event, focusing on Ecosystems for Quantum Readiness. A number of vertical topics encompassing more than 30 panels and talks from over 80 speakers will provide attendees with a deep understanding on state-of-the-art developments of the future quantum ecosystems as well as the current impact of quantum computing technologies.
The conference brings together corporate management, entrepreneurs, end users, technology providers, infrastructure partners, researchers and investors who are working on the current future developments of the quantum ecosystem. IQT Canada is organized by 3DR Holdings, IQT Research, INTRIQ, and the Governments of both Canada and Quebec. The June conference will be an “in-person” event to ensure maximum networking and discussion and will take place at Centre Mont-Royal in Montréal (Québec), Canada.
