KETS Quantum Security Winner of SETsquared Bristol’s Tech-Xpo 2020 Event in UK
(GovernmentComputing) UK-based tech incubator SETsquared Bristol has announced cyber security company KETS Quantum Security as the winner of its Tech-Xpo 2020 event.
The quantum security company prevailed over 10 other Bristol-based startups to win the ‘Best Elevator Pitch’ audience vote at the inaugural online version of Tech-Xpo.
Established in 2016 in the University of Bristol’s Quantum Engineering Technology Labs, KETS Quantum Security is said to work with partners in the telecommunications, governments, finance, data centres, and defence sectors. The company is engaged in developing technology with an objective to solve some of the biggest cyber security problems faced by some of the largest organisations by combining the power of quantum encryption technologies with the scalability and practicality of integrated, chip-based quantum photonics.
According to SETsquared Bristol, KETS Quantum Security’s win comes at a crucial time in the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme with the government announcing in its UK Research and Development Roadmap the urge to address complex and pressing challenges, that includes security.
