KT SAT Announces Quantum Satellite Communication, Satellite-5G, & Blockchain Based Service as New Growth Engines

(KT.SAT)  KT SAT officially announced three new growth engines for its future businesses for the first time – Satellite-5G connection, blockchain-based satellite service and quantum satellite communication – to cope with the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution.
“As a specialized satellite enterprise with more than 50 years of experience under our belt, we are endeavoring to develop new growth engines for our satellite business,” KT SAT CEO Hahn Won-Sic said. “We are determined to go beyond our transponder business and take a great step forward to serve as a global platform provider.”
Satellite-based quantum communication is a technology that KT SAT is developing for heightened security in data communications. When the technology is commercialized, KT SAT will be positioned to supply satellite-based data communication service to the military and government, which require higher levels of reliability for their networks.
