The National Quantum Initiative Act: For Economic & National Security of the U.S.

The purpose is “To provide for a coordinated Federal program to accelerate quantum research and development for the economic and national security of the United States”. The sponsor was Representative Lamar Smith of Texas who introduced the bill June 25, 2018. President Trump signed the Act on Friday, December 21, 2018.
