Pentagon Says Quantum Tech One of 5 Advanced Technologies China is Developing for Military

(BusinessInsider) A recent report released by the US Department of Defence last week said China was a growing security threat to American interests in many domains, including China’s investments in technologies that will advance commercial and military advantages.
The Pentagon says there are five technology fields China is developing to aid it military advance. Those are:
1) AI & Advanced Robotics;
2) Semiconductors & advanced computing;
3) Quantum Technologies: Under China’s 13th fifth-year plan, introduced in 2016, Beijing launched a “megaproject” for quantum communications and computing aimed at achieving breakthroughs by 2030.
4) Hypersonic weapons
5) Advanced materials and alternative energy.
