Ansys & IonQ Join Forces to Integrate Quantum Computing into CAE

Ansys and IonQ  have joined forces to integrate quantum computing into the $10B computer-aided engineering (CAE) industry as reported by Digital Engineering on November 7.
Together, IonQ and Ansys aim to accelerate simulation, expand high-fidelity design exploration, and reduce product development timelines, enabling faster market entry for products.
This partnership aims to make simulation accessible to quantum experts and non-experts to enhance enterprise value and streamline product development processes. Ansys solutions are used in product development across industries . As IonQ’s quantum computers advance, integrating them with Ansys’ technology for complex simulations will open the door to new innovations, the companies report. Additionally, with these advancements, Ansys will gain access to infrastructure to test and refine its technology in a quantum environment.

Nu Quantum to Collaboration with CERN in Adopting White Rabbit Timing Technology

Nu Quantum is adopting CERN-born White Rabbit (WR) technology to enable data-centre scale quantum computing networks. WR enables highly precise timing synchronisation which is crucial for developing large-scale quantum networks. Nu Quantum is the first quantum industrial partner to join the WR Collaboration. WR allows timing synchronisation with sub-nanosecond accuracy, while also providing an Ethernet network for control, distribution, and data acquisition. This level of synchronisation is important to create the entanglement between computers which establishes the quantum network. In support of the QNU prototype integration, Nu Quantum is proud to join the WR Collaboration, an initiative launched by CERN to foster the uptake of the technology by industry.
Nu Quantum has now successfully instantiated the control-plane hardware and benchmarked the optical sub-systems, with delivery of the full system on target for March 2025. The first instantiation of the QNU’s Optics Module has been built and calibrated, and its performance exceeds expectation.
Edoardo Martelli, coordinator of CERN’s Quantum Technology Initiative activities in quantum networking says: “It is fantastic to see how a technology originally developed to synchronise CERN’s accelerators can play a key role in enabling future quantum computing and networking.”

Quranium Launches Protocol to Bolster Digital Security Against Quantum Threats

Quranium unveiled the company’s innovative initiative, deQuip (Decentralized Quantum-Uncrackable Infrastructure Protocol), at a press conference November 8 as reported in Korea Times.
This new market sector offers unprecedented protection for decentralized systems against the looming threats of quantum computing. As the world increasingly embraces decentralization, the demand for robust, uncrackable security protocols has never been more critical. “The traditional frameworks of blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) are no longer enough to safeguard against the powerful computational abilities of quantum technologies,” explained Quranium’s CEO, Kapil Dhiman, He believes existing categories do not adequately represent the resilience required to confront these emerging risks.
Positioned as the pioneering DLT capable of withstanding quantum threats, deQuip offers a novel solution that empowers enterprises and innovators to operate confidently in an increasingly digital ecosystem. “This isn’t merely a new security label. It represents a transformative movement aimed at revolutionizing digital trust,” Dhiman remarked.
The introduction of deQuip also highlights the urgency for businesses and digital platforms to adopt quantum-resistant technologies, particularly in crucial sectors such as finance, healthcare, and smart cities.

D-Wave Appoints Two Veteran Tech Industry Leaders to Board of Directors

D-Wave Quantum Inc. (NYSE: QBTS) has appointed two veteran technology industry leaders to its board of directors, supporting the increasing market adoption of the company’s annealing quantum computing solutions as per November 7 announcement on InvestorBrandNetwork.
The two new board members, John DiLullo and Rohit Ghai, join at a crucial time as the company is implementing an aggressive go-to-market strategy, aiming to accelerate quantum solution adoption across global businesses, research institutions and government agencies.
