Singapore’s Science Centre Displaying ‘Quantum: The Exhibition’
(Science.edu.Singapore) Singapore research institutions are exhibiting quantum information technology at the “Quantum: The Exhibition” at the Science Centre in Singapore August 20-January 2, 2020. Singapore’s quantum exhibits are displayed alongside exhibits originally curated by the Institute of Quantum Computing, University of Waterloo, Canada.
The exhibit aims to inform Singapore citizens about new quantum technologies, such the quantum computer, quantum information security, quantum sensors, etc, that are now emerging from research labs around the world.
The exhibit is indicative of Singapore’s positioning as a Global-Asia node of technology, innovation and enterprise. Singapore continues to invest in R&D to support the push to make innovation pervasive. Singapore has set aside $19 billion as part of its five-year Research, Innovation, and Enterprise 2020 plan.
