Sonika Johri, IonQ, Senior Quantum Applications Research Scientist, Has Agreed to Present the “Quantum in Financial Services” Keynote Nov 5 @ 3:00 at Inside Quantum Technology New York
(IQT-NYC) Sonika Johri, IonQ, Senior Quantum Applications Research Scientist has agreed to present the Quantum in Financial Services keynote November 5 @ 3:00 pm – 3:20 at Inside Quantum Technology New York.
Sonika Johri leads the Quantum Applications research team at IonQ, a company commercializing trapped ion quantum computers. She leads IonQ’s efforts in developing applications for current and near future generations of quantum computers. She has co-authored several publications involving cutting-edge quantum algorithm demonstrations in the areas of generative and discriminative machine learning, condensed matter physics, quantum chemistry, and optimization, across a variety of quantum hardware platforms. Prior to IonQ, she worked as a quantum algorithms researcher at Intel Corporation. She has a PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics from Princeton University.
IQT Research believes that the financial services sector (banks, investment firms, insurance companies, credit card companies, etc.) represent a special case among end users. While no financial firm has yet to trust any day-to-day operations to quantum computers, it seems that the financial sector has seen a higher level of interest across the board than other sectors. In this session, we discuss some of the key quantum-related issues emerging in the financial services sectors including specialized quantum software and the growing interface between quantum technology and cybercurrencies.
“(IQT)…has quickly become the quantum industry’s leading conference.” —ZDNET
The Inside Quantum Technology Conference focuses on the Business of Quantum Computing, Quantum Networking, Quantum Sensors, and Quantum Cryptography. This will be the fourth such event and is the foremost gathering of business leaders, product developers, marketing strategists and investors anywhere in the world focused on quantum technology. We are anticipating that over 1,000 people will be attending this event from all over the world and from every area of quantum technology.
