Wen-Hao Chang; Program Executive Officer, Taiwan Quantum Program Office; will speak on “Global quantum ecosystems” at IQT Nordics 2024.
Dr. Chang is currently the Program Executive Officer of the Taiwan Quantum Program Office. He is also a Distinguished Research Fellow at Academia Sinica, Taiwan and a Distinguished Professor at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan. He received his BS (‘94), MS (‘96) and PhD (‘01) degrees in Physics from National Central University, Taiwan. After his postdoctoral research, he joined NYCU as an assistant professor in 2005 and became a full professor since 2012. Dr. Chang joined the Academia Sinica in 2020 as a Distinguished Research Fellow and the Acting Executive Officer of the Thematic Center for Quantum Photonics. His research interests include light-matter interactions in low-dimensional semiconductor nanostructures, semiconductor quantum optics, and 2D layered materials. He has authored and co-authored more than 150 journal papers and received citations more than 12,000 times with an h index of 47, according to Google Scholar (Jun 2024). He was awarded the Distinguished Teaching Award (2010, 2016) from NYCU, the Ta-Yu Wu Memorial Award (2010) and the Distinguished Research Award (2018) from the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) of Taiwan, the Academic Award (2018) from the Sun Yat-Sen Academic and Cultural Foundation, and the Achievement in Asia Award (Robert T. Poe Prize, 2020) given by the International Organization of Chinese Physicists and Astronomers (OCPA). Dr. Chang was an elected fellow of The Physical Society of Taiwan.
